Our internal procedures foresee the following phases: after topping the pizzas enter a freezing tunnel at -33 °C for about 30 minutes; the temperature is constantly monitored by equipment and checked by quality control personnel twice per each shift.
The pizzas then enter the packaging stage through a conveyor belt, which leads to a system of automatic packaging and palletization.
At this point the pallets enter the coldstore for storage monitored at T ° <-18 ° C and equipped with an alarm system in case this parameter is not respected.
On departure, before loading, the logistics staff takes the temperature and register it in the appropriate form.
We can assure you that all tracking data of the internal temperature were in accordance with the standard parameters and that the production fully respects the standards set throughout the whole supply chain up to the moment of loading.
Therefore we can assume that the cause of the frost may be related to an oscillation of the temperature following an interruption of the cold chain during the product distribution and at the consumer's home, and this step is not under the control of our company.
